IS DAILY EDUCATION

For busy caregivers who are raising conscious children and want to do the work of being anti-racist and proliberation, or those who want to provide a more holistic world-view in their approach to parenting, More Joy Parenting provides creative strategies to help parents weather tough conversations, unpack biases, and gain important perspective on raising their children in the 21st century.

We believe that...

 Black Lives Matter.

 Representation is vital.

Being vulnerable creates an opportunity for change.

More Joy Parenting is setting the stage for conscious caregivers to embody our mission: To envision the world we want to live in so that we can create the world around us.

Hello!

I'M MARCELLA.
A MOTHER, SCHOLAR, AUTHOR, AND
SOCIAL JUSTICE EDUCATOR.

I am a parent. I am also an executive leader in higher education and an active member of my community. I am committed to anti-racist, pro-liberation parenting, as a white identified cis-gender woman, raising two young daughters who identify as Black and mixed in Western MA with my partner. I am also a friend, auntie, sister, daughter, niece, godparent, and aspiring scrapbooker and amateur photographer. I am a scholar and practitioner in the Social Justice Education community and have authored books, articles, and curriculum on popular culture, friendship, race, spirituality, and critical pedagogy. And because of these roles and experiences, I am passionate about sharing information and providing support. I founded More Joy Parenting for all of us, who are managing so much, and along with my team, we are offering workshops, resources, and coaching.
